The Corrov Footbridge

The Corrov Footbridge is one of the oldest surviving structures in Wynvelwick. It was designed by the engineer Gideon Brinranmor and completed in 1916. The structure stands 57 metres tall.

Gideon Brinranmor drew up the plans after a public subscription raised funds for the project. Construction took three seasons, using stone quarried a few miles inland. When it opened in 1916, local newspapers described it as the most ambitious public work the town had attempted.

The Corrov Footbridge was restored in the late twentieth century and remains a familiar landmark for residents and visitors.
